Baby bats are born in a special way. They are born with four strong teeth. These teeth help the babies hold on to their mothers. A mother bat has two milk glands on her chest. She also has two false nipples on her belly. These help the babies stay attached.

Most horseshoe bats live for six or seven years. One big bat lived for more than thirty years! They are part of a large group called Rhinolophidae. This group has about 106 different species living today.
