Later, his grandson translated it into Greek. This helped many more people read his ideas.

The book teaches people how to live good lives. It gives advice on many topics. It talks about friendship and money. It also speaks about how to use kind words.

Some parts of the book praise God's greatness. Other parts tell stories of famous people from the past.

Different groups of people use this book in different ways. Some churches include it in their holy books. Other groups call it the Apocrypha. This means it is a special text but not part of their main Bible. Ben Sira is the only writer from that time to sign his work. This makes his book very special to study.
