Some people call it the Wisdom of Solomon. A Jewish writer in Alexandria wrote it in Greek. Most scholars think it was written around the turn of the era. This was about thirty years before or after the year zero.

The book has three main parts. The first part talks about being a good person. It says that being good helps you find wisdom. The second part has a speech from Solomon. He says he loves wisdom more than wealth or power. He calls wisdom a gift from God. This wisdom is like a person. The book calls her "Lady Wisdom."

Different groups of people view this book in different ways. Many Christian churches use it in their holy books. They see it as a sacred text. However, most Protestant groups do not include it. It is also not in the Jewish Bible. People have studied this book for a very long time.
