Lewis had a special idea called the "dual-sector model." He said a poor country has two main parts. The first part is the traditional sector. This sector is mostly about farming and simple work. The second part is the modern capitalist sector. This sector is about factories and new industry. He showed how workers move from farms to factories. This move helps a country build more wealth and grow.
