He is best known for his postmodern style. This means his buildings often use unusual shapes and new materials. Many people think his work looks like giant sculptures. His buildings often have wavy or flowing walls that move like waves.

He has even designed furniture, jewelry, and liquor bottles.

Gehry creates his buildings in a very special way. He often uses materials that people do not expect to see on a house. He has used titanium, stainless steel, and even chain-link fencing.

Some of his buildings look like they are made of crumpled paper. For example, the Dr Chau Chak Wing Building in Australia has a wavy wall made of 320,000 bricks.

He likes to mix different materials together in one design. This makes his buildings look dynamic and full of energy.

His love for building started when he was a young child. He was born in Toronto, Canada, in 1929. His grandmother helped him build tiny cities out of scraps of wood.
