An early version was called swingball. It used racquets to hit a tennis ball.

The game starts with a serve. One player holds the ball and hits it. The other player tries to hit it back. You can use your fist or your open hand. You win when the ball wraps around the pole. The ball must hit the pole above a certain line.

Setting up the game is easy. You need a pole, a rope, and a ball. The ball is like a volleyball. The rope is usually 8 to 10 feet long.
