He lived a long time ago in Tibet. He found a group of teachings called Longchen Nyingthig. These are known as terma. Terma are hidden treasures found in the mind.

Jigme Lingpa found these through special visions. One vision happened when he was 28 years old. He felt deep love for his teacher. In his mind, he flew through the sky. He was riding a white lion. He reached a big monument in Nepal.

These teachings bring two old paths together. One path came from a man named Vimalamitra. The other path came from Padmasambhava. Jigme Lingpa is seen as a part of both lines.

The teachings focus on Dzogchen. This is a way to reach enlightenment. Enlightenment means reaching a state of great wisdom. The texts include many different parts. They have prayers and special steps. Some parts help people find peace. Others teach about how to be wise. They offer a full path for followers to follow.
