Many people believe these texts came from an Indian monk named Vimalamitra. Traditional stories say he brought them to Tibet. Another story says they were hidden treasures. A man named Zhangton Tashi Dorje found them. He lived a long time ago. Some scholars think the texts were made by many people over time. They might have been put together by different hands. A famous writer named Longchenpa wrote many things about these books. His work helps people understand them today. The books talk about many things. They discuss the body and the mind. They also talk about what happens after death.
