Many different forms exist. Some people practice Wing Chun or Tai Chi. These styles use quick moves and clever tricks. Many people believe these arts may have roots in India. A monk named Bodhidharma may have shared training methods with monks in China. He used breathing and movement to help them stay strong. This is a legend, but it shows how cultures can share ideas.

Kung fu is also part of stories and films. Wuxia is a type of fiction about martial arts heroes. In movies, actors like Bruce Lee made these arts famous. Some films use wires to help actors fly through the air. This is sometimes called "wire-fu." Even street dance is linked to kung fu. Early hip-hop dancers used moves like leg sweeps. They used these moves in dance battles to show their skill.
