Some puppets are made of paper. Others are made of colored leather. In Taiwan, artists use leather to make small puppets. These shows use special music called Chaochow melodies.

Shadow play is an old tradition. It is found in many countries. UNESCO calls shadow play in Syria a special cultural treasure. People around the world still love these shows today.
