The brain has three main parts. The largest part is the cerebrum. It has two sides called hemispheres. These sides are joined by the corpus callosum. The corpus callosum is a large bridge of nerves. Each side has four lobes. The frontal lobe helps with planning and self-control. The occipital lobe helps you see. The temporal lobe helps with hearing and memory. The parietal lobe helps you feel things.

Behind the brainstem is the cerebellum. This is often called the little brain. It sits at the back of your head. The brainstem connects the cerebrum to your spinal cord.
