To start, lay cards face down on a flat surface. You can use a standard deck of 52 cards. Some people use cards with pictures instead. In a standard game, you might lay them in four rows. Each row has 13 cards.

On your turn, you flip over two cards. You want to find a matching pair. In many versions, cards must have the same rank and color. For example, a six of hearts and a six of diamonds match. If they match, you keep the pair and play again. If they do not match, flip them face down. Then, the next player takes a turn. The game ends when all pairs are gone. The person with the most pairs wins!

There are many ways to play. You can play alone as a solo game. You can also play "Zebra," where you match different colors. Some people play "Spaghetti" by scattering cards on the floor. You can even play "Pexeso" with 64 square cards. This version uses 32 pairs of identical images. It is a great way to test your brain and have fun with friends.
