After many years of leadership, Hadi decided to step down. In 2022, he transferred his power to a new group. This group is called the Presidential Leadership Council. It is led by a man named Rashad al-Alimi.

The new council is looking for a way to bring peace. They want to find a political solution to the war. This move was part of a larger effort to help Yemen find stability again.
