People in this group do not follow one single creed. A creed is a set of rules for what to believe. Instead, they follow shared values. They focus on love and being fair to all people.

Members learn from many different faiths. They might study Buddhism, Islam, or Judaism. Some may look to Hinduism or Sikhism. They do not have one official holy book. Instead, they find wisdom in many world religions. They also value freedom of thought.

This group grew from two older Christian groups. One was the American Unitarian Association. The other was the Universalist Church of America. These two groups joined together in 1961. This made the Unitarian Universalist Association.

Today, about 1.7 million people in America identify with this faith. Most of these people live in the United States. However, there are also groups in places like Canada and the Philippines. They meet in churches and other groups to worship together.
