Work is a big part of life in Suez. The area has five important ports for ships. These are Ain Sokhna, Suez, Adabeya, petrol basin, and El-Atka fishing port. These ports help the economy grow very well. The land also holds many natural resources. People find things like coal, clay, and petroleum there. They also find limestone, marble, and lime in the ground. One of the main things they sell to other places is papayas.

Many different zones help people work in Suez. There are zones for light and heavy industries. There are also new urban community industrial zones. In 1975, the Suez Public Free Zone was started. This zone is split between Suez Port and Adabeya. In mid-2018, Egypt and Russia made a big plan. They agreed to build a Russian Industrial Zone there. This adds even more ways for people to work.

There are many interesting things to see in this region. Tourism is a very important part of the area. You can visit Ain Sokhna for fun or medical care.
