Grammar in Sesotho is special. It uses a system called agglutination. This means people build long words by adding small parts to a root word. It also uses noun genders. These genders do not tell if something is male or female. People use Sesotho for many things. It is used in Kwaito music. It is also part of youth culture in some areas. This is seen in a way of speaking called Tsotsitaal. Tsotsitaal uses Sesotho rules with new words.
