It is an official language in Eswatini. It is also an official language in South Africa. You can learn it in many schools.

In Eswatini, there are four main dialects. These come from the four regions of the country. One way of speaking is very special. It is a royal style. It is slow and has strong stress. People say it sounds smooth and sweet. In the south, the language sounds more like isiZulu. Some people think this way is not proper siSwati. In Mpumalanga, the language has a different tone. This can sound strange to some ears.

SiSwati uses many sounds. It uses clicks made with the teeth or tongue. It also uses three tones. These are high, mid, and low tones. The way people use these tones can change how words sound.
