It often has tunes that are easy to sing. Most songs use a set of parts that repeat. A verse tells a story with new words each time. The chorus is the part that repeats the same words and tune. A bridge is a special part that sounds different. It helps connect the other parts of the song.

In the past, people used sheet music to play at home. Many used the piano to play these songs. In the late 1800s, a place called Tin Pan Alley helped sell songs.

Later, new tools helped music spread. The gramophone played records. Radio let people hear singers in their own homes. In the 1950s, television also showed many famous bands.

Today, music moves very fast. Digital files let songs travel to new countries easily. Sometimes, styles from different lands mix together. This can create new kinds of music.
