Marketing works in many different ways according to Kotler. He helped make the "marketing mix," which uses four main parts. These parts are the product, the price, the place, and the promotion. He also created a way of thinking called "social marketing." This uses marketing to help people choose healthier or safer ways to live. Another idea he made is "demarketing," which helps reduce demand for something. For example, a government might use it to help people use less water.
