Parvin was a very talented child. She actually began writing her own poems when she was only eight years old. She later graduated from the Iran Bethel School in Tehran in 1924. Parvin used many different ways to write her poetry. She followed the classical Persian tradition in her work. One special style she used was called monazara, which means a debate. She wrote about sixty-five poems in this debate style. In these poems, she gave voices to animals, birds, and flowers. She also used objects from daily life to represent big ideas. Through these characters, she spoke about social justice and ethics. She also wrote about life, death, and the importance of knowledge. Her work often showed the struggles and mistakes found in society.

On July 10, 1934, she married her father's cousin, Fazlollah E'tesami. They moved to the city of Kermanshah together. The marriage only lasted for ten weeks. They separated because their personalities and interests were very different. Parvin eventually returned to live in Tehran. Her brother said she had a gentle and free-spirited nature. This was very different from her husband's military mindset.
