She lived during the Song dynasty and wrote many beautiful poems. She was famous for a special style called ci poetry. Unlike shi poetry, which follows strict rules and focuses on politics, ci poetry follows musical patterns. This allowed her to express personal feelings like love and longing. Many people remember her for her subtle and concise writing style. Her words help us feel the emotions of a woman from a long time ago.

Li grew up in a home filled with books and learning.

Her father, Li Gefei, was a famous professor and essayist. Her mother was also a well-known poet. Because of her family, Li received a very good education. One of her first poems is called "A Dream Song," written when she was sixteen or seventeen.

When Li was eighteen, she married a man named Zhao Mingcheng. They were very similar because they both loved art and literature. They enjoyed collecting beautiful things like paintings and calligraphy. They also collected old bronze and stone items from the Shang and Zhou dynasties.
