They sit on the east coast of Møn island. This island is in the Baltic Sea. The cliffs are made of chalk. This chalk came from tiny shells on the sea floor. Millions of years ago, these shells lived in the water.

Much later, moving ice pushed the land up. This created hills and steep cliffs. Some parts of the cliffs drop 120 meters to the sea. The highest part is 128 meters tall.

Many people visit this nature reserve each year. You can walk or bike on marked paths. Some paths lead to stairs. These stairs go down to the shore.

You might see green beech trees. You might also find rare orchids. Some birds live here too. The peregrine falcon is a very fast bird. It can fly at 350 km/h. A museum called GeoCenter Møns Klint is near the top. It shows fossils found in the chalk. This place is now a World Heritage Site.
