geography Maturity 11-13 Next article →

Lofoi Falls is a grand waterfall. It sits in Kundelungu National Park. This park is in Katanga Province. That province is in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The water falls down in one long drop. It is one of the largest falls in Central Africa. The water comes from the Lofoi River. This river flows into the Lufira River. The falls look different at different times. The dry season is from June to October. During these months, the falls shrink quite a bit. They do not look as big then. The rest of the year is different. The water looks very dramatic then. Some people call these falls the Chutes Kaloba. Others call them the Chutes Lofoi. It is a very special place to see.
