La Tur was a Mexican airline. It helped people visit new places. This airline started in 1988. Its main goal was to grow the tourist market.

This means helping more people travel for fun. It was an important part of travel in Mexico. The company wanted to make trips easier for many people.

This airline used several types of planes. They started with McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft. One year later, they added the Airbus A300-600. These bigger planes flew to Europe and Asia.

The company planned to use Airbus A320 and A321 planes. However, they did not have the money for this. They had to keep the planes they already had.

La Tur flew to many famous places. They flew to Hong Kong's Kai Tak International Airport.

In Mexico, they went to Acapulco and Cancun. They also flew to Mexico City. They visited Puerto Vallarta too. In the United States, they flew to Atlanta and New York. They even flew to Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

La Tur had a specific group of planes. They owned five McDonnell Douglas MD-83 planes. They also had one McDonnell Douglas MD-87.

The fleet included two Airbus A300 planes. One was an Airbus A300B4-620 named F-ODTK. The other was an Airbus A300B4-622R named F-ODSX. These numbers show how many planes they used to fly.

Things changed for the airline by 1992. They had too much capacity. This means they had more planes than they needed. The Mexican peso also fell in value. New rules for air transport changed how things worked.

Because of this, a company called TAESA took over. La Tur stopped its own flights in 1992.
