La Tur had many different planes. They had five MD-83 planes. They also had one MD-87 plane. They had two Airbus A300 planes. The company wanted to buy new Airbus A320 planes. However, they did not have enough money.

By 1992, things changed. The airline had too many planes. The Mexican peso lost its value. This is called a fall in value. New rules for air travel also changed things. A company called TAESA took over La Tur. The airline stopped its own flights in 1992.
