Kaprosuchus had many unique parts. It had three sets of tusk-like teeth. These teeth stick out from the top and bottom of the head. It also had large horns on its head. These horns grew from the bones of the skull.

Scientists study how this animal lived. Its eyes were on the sides of its head. The eyes faced forward. This gave it stereoscopic vision. That means the eyes saw the same thing from two sides. This helped the animal see depth. Some think it lived on land to hunt. Its teeth were straight and sharp for land hunting. Other scientists think it lived in both water and on land. This is called being semiaquatic.
