He lived during a time of great political change. In 1955, a group called the Revolución Libertadora took control. This group was a dictatorship led by General Pedro Eugenio Aramburu. They ended the second term of President Juan Perón. The new leaders also banned the Peronist Party from elections. They even arrested thousands of union leaders. This was a very tense time for the country.

Valle chose to leave the army after the coup happened. Many other military officers felt unhappy with Aramburu's regime. Valle and others like Raúl Tanco were eventually detained. The government moved them to house arrest later on. This was part of a large campaign against Peronism. Valle did not stop his work, though. He helped plan a way to fight back. He led a rebellion on June 9, 1956.

The rebellion spread through many parts of the country quickly. However, the uprising did not last very long. Only seven people died during the actual fighting. The rebellion failed for a few specific reasons. Experts say there was poor planning involved. Also, Juan Perón was living in Panama at the time. He did not give the rebels his personal support. Because of this, the government forces captured the rebels.

The government decided to punish Valle very harshly. They wanted to make an example of him. On June 12, 1956, they executed him by firing squad.

This happened at the National Penitentiary of Buenos Aires. This site is now known as Las Heras Park. A plaque was placed there to honor him. Between June 9 and June 12, 27 people were executed. Some died during the León Suárez massacre. This event changed how people viewed the government's actions.

These events left a deep mark on Argentine history. The regime became known as "la Fusiladora" by some people. This name refers to the way they used firing squads.

This period led to more conflict later on. In June 1970, a group called the Montoneros killed Aramburu. The Montoneros were a left-wing Peronist group. Even after his death, Valle's status changed. The army later promoted him to Lieutenant-general.
