This island is in the Channel Islands. These cows are red or wheat-colored. Some have white spots. They are calm and easy to work with.

Their milk is very special. It has a golden-yellow color. This color comes from beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is a part of vitamin A. The milk also has a lot of fat and protein. People say it has a rich flavor. One cow can make 6,000 liters of milk each year.

Guernsey cows are medium in size. They are good at eating grass. In the past, they lived a long time. They were also easy to care for.
