The mountain is in Grand Teton National Park. It is part of a group called the Cathedral Group. Other peaks in this group are Mount Owen and Teewinot Mountain. Below the north face of the mountain is the Teton Glacier. This is a large mass of ice. Small creeks and glaciers feed the Snake River basin.

Many people visit to climb the mountain. One famous path is the Owen-Spalding route. It is named after the men who first climbed it. People also ski down the snowy sides. Bill Briggs made the first ski trip down in 1971.

Some people even run up and down the mountain. A man named Michelino Sunseri set a speed record in 2024. He ran the mountain in less than three hours. The mountain is a famous place for outdoor fun. It stays beautiful even in the cold winter.
