Baptists see works as a sign of a happy faith. They do good things to show they are thankful. These acts include helping the church and being kind. They believe God will reward these deeds.

Some groups believe both faith and works are needed. The Catholic Church teaches this. The Eastern Orthodox Churches also believe this. The Coptic Orthodox Church says works show God's love. They say faith and works must go together to save a person.

Lutheran Churches teach that works come from a new life. They say God rewards the good things Christians do. Methodists also believe works are very important. They think being kind helps a person grow closer to God. They believe true faith will lead to good acts.
