Players use a special ball. It has bells inside that make noise. Players must listen to find the ball. To keep things fair, everyone wears eyeshades. These are dark shades that block out light. This helps players who can see and players who cannot see play on equal footing.

To score, a player rolls or bounces the ball. They try to throw it into the other team's goal. The defending team must block the ball. They "lay out" by sliding on their hips. They stretch their arms and legs to stay long. This helps them cover more space.

It is very important to be quiet. The crowd must not clap or cheer. This lets the players hear the bells. Hans Lorenzen and Sepp Reindle made the game in 1946. They wanted to help veterans. Now, many nations play it in the Paralympic Games.
