Cricket is an exciting bat-and-ball game played between two teams. Each team has eleven players on the field.

In the middle of the field is a flat area called a pitch. At each end of the pitch, there is a wicket. A wicket is made of three wooden stumps with two small sticks called bails balanced on top.

The game is all about skill and teamwork. One player, the bowler, throws the ball toward the striker's wicket. The striker uses a bat to try and hit the ball away. This game brings people together through competition and shared passion.

There are many ways to score runs in cricket. When the striker hits the ball, they run to the other end of the pitch. They swap places with their partner to earn one run.

Teams can also score if the ball hits the boundary of the field. The fielding team tries to stop this by getting the batters "out." They might catch the ball in the air before it hits the ground. They can also hit the wicket with the ball to dislodge the bails.
