The floor is a long freefall drop. A person would fall for ten seconds to reach the bottom.

Many birds live in the cave walls. They are mostly white-collared swifts. These birds fly in circles each morning. In the evening, they dive down. They pull in their wings to fall fast. Then they spread them to fly to their nests.

Many tourists come to watch this.

Some people visit the cave for sports. Cavers use ropes to go down the shaft. It can take one hour to reach the floor. Others use BASE jumping to fly through the pit. The cave floor is covered in debris and guano. Guano is waste from birds. Fungi in the guano can make people sick. Many insects and snakes live there too.
