Scientists call these pearls cave pearls.

The cave formed in a unique way. Most caves form from the top down. This cave formed from the bottom up. It grew because of sulfuric acid. This acid came from gas in the ground.

Tiny living things also live here. These are called microbes. They are very small life forms. Some microbes eat sulfur and iron. This helps the cave grow. Scientists think some microbes might help humans. They study them to find new medicines.

Only certain people can visit. This includes scientists and park staff. We must protect the cave. Drilling for oil nearby could be a threat. Leaks could hurt the life inside. The cave stays a great place to study.
