Adjective

language culture Maturity 11-13 Next article →

Some words help us describe things. We call these words adjectives. They tell us more about a person or object.

An adjective can change what we know. It can say a dog is big. It can say a toy is red.

In English, we often put these words first. We might say "the happy kids."

Sometimes, we put them after the word. We can say "the kids are happy."

These words make our talk much more fun. They help us share what we see.
