English grammar

English rules help us build sentences. These rules guide how we use words. We use them to talk and write.

Some words are nouns. Nouns name things like a cat or a book. We can add an 's' to show who owns something. This is called a possessive.

Other words are verbs. Verbs show action. One word can be two things. The word run can be a noun or a verb.

We also use pronouns. We use 'he' or 'she' for people. We often use 'it' for things.

Rules help us share our ideas clearly. They make sure we understand each other.
