Wingsuit flying is a sport where people glide through the air.

Instead of just falling, they wear a special suit. This suit has fabric wings between the arms and legs. These wings help the flyer lift up and move forward.

Some people call these "birdman suits." Others call them "bat suits" because they look like bat wings.

Flyers can jump from a plane. They can also jump from a cliff or mountain. This is called BASE jumping.

When they jump, air fills the suit. This makes the suit firm like a wing. A skilled pilot can glide three meters forward for every meter they fall.

To fly, pilots move their bodies. They roll their shoulders or move their hips. This helps them steer. They also use tools like GPS to track their path. Every flight must end with a parachute. The pilot throws a small chute to open the big one. This lets them land safely on the ground.
