It acts like a one-way door that only lets things out.

Scientists use math to study these ideas. These math rules are called the Einstein field equations. In some math solutions, white holes exist in the past. They might be the opposite of black holes in the future. Some thinkers believe a black hole could spawn a white hole. This could happen in the center of a galaxy.

Some ideas link white holes to a wormhole. A wormhole is a bridge that connects two parts of space. In this view, a white hole is an exit door. It could let things out from a black hole in another universe. We have not seen a white hole in real life. There is no known way for one to form. They remain a big mystery for us to solve.
