To make Symbolism look big, he used many fake names. He published books of poems under these names. This helped many young poets find this new style.

Bryusov also worked as a translator. This means he changed words from one language to another. He helped Russian readers enjoy poems from France and other lands. He even translated famous works like "Faust" by Goethe.

He wrote exciting stories too. Some were about history, like life in Ancient Rome. Others were science fiction stories about space. One of his books, "The Fiery Angel," became a famous opera.
