This character is often called "the Scarlet Speedster." Many people have used this name over the years. They all share a special power called superspeed. This power lets them run and move very fast. It also lets them think at high speeds. They have quick reflexes that help them in fights. Most of them get their power from the Speed Force. This force is a special energy that helps them move.

Being the Flash involves more than just running fast. These heroes must use their speed to save people. They often work with famous teams like the Justice League. They have also been part of the Teen Titans. Some Flashes fight villains like Gorilla Grodd. Others face a group called the Rogues. These villains actually follow a special code of honor. Some bad speedsters also try to stop them. These villains use names like Reverse-Flash or Zoom.

These chemicals soaked him and gave him super speed. He used a special ring to carry his suit. The ring used gas to make the cloth very small. Later, his nephew Wally West became the Flash too.
