These white marks might help them during fights.

Devils have very strong bites. Their large heads and necks help them. They hunt for food. They also eat carrion. Carrion is meat from animals that are already dead.

Devils can be very fast. They can also climb trees and swim in rivers.

Baby devils are born pink and without fur. They stay in the mother's pouch for about 100 days. Many babies do not survive. This is because there are only four nipples in the pouch. There is a lot of fighting for food.

Today, devils face a big problem. A sickness called devil facial tumour disease is spreading. This disease makes the number of devils go down. Because of this, they are endangered. This means they might disappear forever.
