These games test your brain in many ways. You might use logic or find patterns. Some games require you to think very fast.

Many games come from old thinking games. For example, the game Nim is very old. Early computer games also copied board games. One game, Blockbuster, was like a Rubik's Cube. Another game, Snark Hunt, used logical deduction. This means using clues to find an answer.

Some games use tiles. In Chain Shot!, you remove tiles of the same color. This makes other tiles fall into the gap.

Tetris is a very famous tile game. It was made by Alexey Pajitnov. He was inspired by a game called Pentominos. In Tetris, you must fit shapes together.

Other games use physics. Physics is the study of how things move. In these games, you use the world to win. You might use gravity or how things hit each other. Some games ask you to find hidden items in a scene. This is called a hidden object game. These games are still very popular today.
