Private school

society Maturity 11-13 Next article →

Private schools are special places for learning. They are also called independent schools. Unlike public schools, they do not rely on the government for money. Instead, they use money from a financial endowment or tuition fees. Most of these schools have a board of governors to lead them. This group of leaders makes sure the school stays independent.

A scholarship might be for talent in art or sports. It can also be for academic skills or financial need. This helps different kinds of students join the school.
