Power Rangers

arts Maturity 5-7 Next article →

Power Rangers is a famous group of heroes. They first appeared on TV in 1993. The show is based on a Japanese series called Super Sentai. American makers use footage from those shows. They add new stories and characters for us to watch.

Each team has a small group of young people. A mentor helps train them. They can morph, or change, into heroes. They wear tight suits and helmets. These suits come in many colors. Red and Blue are in every team. Some Rangers have special powers. They might move very fast or be very strong. They also use unique weapons to fight.

When the fight gets too big, they use Zords. Zords are huge machines that they pilot. These giant robots help them win. Rangers must follow strict rules. They cannot use their powers for themselves. They must also keep their secret identities safe. If they break these rules, they lose their power.

Many people love these heroes. The shows have been made for 30 seasons. You can find them in books and video games too.
