The Petronas Towers are two very tall buildings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

They have 88 floors each. For many years, they were the tallest buildings in the world. They are still the tallest twin towers on Earth.

The design uses shapes from Islamic art. One shape is the Rub el Hizb, which is a star pattern.

This pattern shows the local religion of Malaysia. The towers are made of strong concrete and shiny glass. They sit on very deep foundations to stay safe.

A large bridge connects the two towers. It sits on the 41st and 42nd floors. This skybridge helps people move between the buildings. It also helps if there is an emergency.
