Being a leader can be a very hard job. In 2019, other leaders tried to change the government. They used a tool called a vote of no confidence. This is a way for Parliament to choose a new leader. Some of his own ministers decided to leave his group. To avoid the vote, Peter O'Neill resigned from his position. James Marape then became the new Prime Minister.
