Neurath wanted to make facts easy to see. He worked with artists to make a new way to show data. They used small icons to show numbers. He called this system Isotype. He believed that "words divide, pictures unite." This meant pictures could help people who spoke different languages understand each other.

He helped run a museum in Vienna. The museum showed ideas about cities and homes. He also helped lead a group called the Vienna Circle. This group studied science and how we know things. Neurath thought science should use the language of math and physics. He wanted to make sure science was based on real, shared facts.

His life was often hard. He had to leave Austria because of war and politics. He lived in the Netherlands and then in Britain. He even crossed the sea in a small boat to reach safety. He died in 1945. His wife, Marie, kept his work going for many years. She even wrote books for children using his picture system.
