Popper grew up in a home full of books. This helped him study many things.

Popper had big ideas about science. He did not think we could prove an idea is true. Instead, he said we must try to prove it wrong. He called this falsifiability. This means we use tests to check our ideas. If a test fails, the idea must change. This helps science grow.

He also thought about how people live together. He believed in an open society. This is a place with fair rules and freedom. He defended democracy. He was against groups that used total control.
