Neo-Nazism is a group of ideas and movements. They started after World War II ended in 1945. These groups want to bring back the old Nazi ways. They believe their own race or group is better than others. This idea is often called White supremacy.

Many of these groups want to create a fascist state. They might even call this a "Fourth Reich." They use fear and violence to target minorities. This includes people of different religions or backgrounds.

These movements use many specific ways to spread their ideas. They often use symbols from the old Nazi Party. One example is a symbol called the Black Sun.

Some people also use the Celtic cross. They often tell lies about history to fit their views. This is called historical negationism. For example, they might deny the Holocaust happened.

They also share conspiracy theories about the world. Some believe in ideas like "White genocide" or "cultural Marxism."

After the war, the world tried to change things. The Allied Control Council dissolved the Nazi Party in 1945. They started a process called denazification to remove Nazi influence. Many leaders were put on trial in Nuremberg. By October 1946, many of these leaders were punished.

In West Germany, new laws were made to stop these groups. The Socialist Reich Party was banned in 1952. This was because they did not support democracy. Other groups tried to help former Nazi members find jobs.

Different people led these movements in different places. In Germany, Otto Ernst Remer led the Socialist Reich Party. Another man named Otto Strasser founded the German Social Union in 1956.

In America, George Lincoln Rockwell was a well-known leader. Francis Parker Yockey was another important writer. He wrote a book called Imperium in 1949.

Yockey was interested in the future of Europe. He even had ideas about Arab nationalism. He was eventually arrested by the FBI in 1960.

Neo-Nazism is not just found in Europe. It is a global phenomenon seen in many lands. Some groups in non-Western regions use these same ideas. They might use racism or ultra-nationalism.

Some groups even focus on the environment. They call this "ecofascism." This links their ideas to the land and nature. Many countries have strict laws against these views. These laws aim to stop hatred and discrimination. They help keep society fair for everyone.
