Lucile had a big dream to dance in Paris. She wanted to join the Paris Opera Ballet. She got royal permission to leave Denmark in 1836. She created the main role in the ballet La Sylphide that year. However, she did not return to her home country after that. In 1839, she was removed from the Royal Danish Ballet rolls. This happened because she stayed away longer than she was allowed. She moved on to dance in many other places.
